Contraindication for EMG biofeedback performance with NeuroTrac MyoPlus 2 PRO

If the patient is prohibited from moving the joint or performing isometric contractions, then EMG biofeedback should not be used. Additionally, the device should be avoided in the following situations: unhealed tendon grafts, avulsed tendons, a third-degree tear of muscle fibers, unstable fractures, or injuries to joint structures, ligaments, capsules, or articulating surfaces. Therefore, it is advisable to consult your doctor or therapist before using the device!

Technical specifications

The NeuroTrac MyoPlus 2 Pro ETS Stimulation and EMG Biofeedback machine has all the features of the standard MyoPlus but with a Full-Colour Touch Screen Display and user-friendly interface.

The device features a touch screen with a vibrant, full-color display. Additionally, its user-friendly interface is designed to be self-explanatory, enabling users to interact effortlessly. Furthermore, it offers interactive learning on the go, including electrode placement guidance, running EMG graphs, EMG biofeedback games and templates, and many other helpful tools.

Moreover, the Classic Biofeedback/ETS/Stimulation device is essential for training and progress assessment. It includes pre-set programs for incontinence treatment, sports, muscular development, and neuromuscular rehabilitation.

Designed for physiotherapists as a portable tool, it is also suitable as a personal trainer for in-clinic or home use (under guidance). The device features a 2-channel EMG (Biofeedback) combined with two channels of NMES (stimulation).

Furthermore, it offers 2-channel ETS (EMG-triggered stimulation) with stimulation on two channels. Users can choose between simple single-phase or multiphase operations, with multiphase allowing EMG/ETS/STIM to be combined in one program.

It includes a multilingual LCD screen; voice prompts for biofeedback and manual and automatic threshold control.

The device offers EMG biofeedback, providing insights into muscle activity and indicating tiredness during muscle stimulation. It can operate as a stand-alone device. Alternatively, it can also function in conjunction with established multilingual software.

Furthermore, it supports a wireless (Bluetooth) connection of up to 10 meters for seamless integration with NeuroTrac software. For home users, the device produces and prints comprehensive patient progress reports daily when paired with the optional PC software. It delivers average readings from two channels: work/rest, peak, onset, and muscle release times. Additionally, it details work and rest deviations, as well as the average mA current.

EMG (Biofeedback)

  • Dual channel EMG
  • EMG Range: 0.2 to 2000 μV RMS (continuous)
  • Sensitivity: 0.1 μV RMS
  • Accuracy: 4% of μV reading +/-0.3 μV at 200 Hz
  • Selectable Bandpass filter – 3db Bandwidth,
  • Wide: 18 Hz +/- 4 Hz to 370 Hz +/- 10% – Reading below 235 microvolts 10 Hz +/-3 Hz to 370 Hz +/- 10% – Reading above 235 microvolts
  • Narrow: 100 Hz +/- 5% to 370 Hz +/- 10%
  • Notch filter: 50 Hz (Canada 60Hz) – 33 dbs (0. 1% accuracy)
  • Common Mode Rejection Ratio: 130 DBS Minimum @ 50 Hz
  • Work / Rest periods: 2-99 seconds
  • Number of Trials: 2-99

STIM (Neuromuscular Stimulation)

  • Dual channel Stimulator
  • Amplitude: 0-90 mA into 500 Ohm load—the actual mA will tend to be less than shown due to electrode impedance: at 1000 Ohms load (electrodes in poor condition), the maximum will be limited to 75 mA, and at 1500 Ohms load, the maximum will be limited to 50 mA.
  • Type: Constant current, maximum output voltage 70 Volts +5 / -10 Volts
  • Waveform: Symmetrical, rectangular, bi-phasic with net zero DC
  • Pulse width selection: 50-450 μS (2% accuracy)
  • Pulse Rate Selection: Users can select a pulse rate between 2 and 100 Hz with a 2% accuracy.
  • Work / Rest periods: 2-99 seconds
  • Time: 1 – 99 minutes
  • Ramp-up time: 0.1 – 9.9 seconds
  • Treatment Programs: Includes both preset and user-programmable options for customized treatment.
  • Automatic output shut off with detection of open electrode above 0.5 mA.
  • Battery: 4 x AA. There is a low battery indication at 5.4 volts +/—0.2 volts, so the device automatically shuts off when the voltage drops below the low indication. Replace the batteries immediately! The device goes off automatically when not in use (energy saving): for example, in settings, no key is pressed for over 1 minute when in stimulation mode (home screen), and all channels are 0mA.
